Pet of the Month
Our Pets of the Month for February
are Clyde, Ronnie and Reggie,
Clyde is a 12 - 18 month old male cockatiel who came into us January 2014. Ronnie & Reggie were brought into us in September 2014 due to their owner being allergic to them. All need to be rehomed together.
Why not have a look
- could you give them a home?
Operation Animal save Appeal
January 2015 sees the launch of RSPCA Bradford and District Operation Animal Save Appeal, an appeal that will run for a full year throughout 2015 with the objective of raising £125,000 towards the upgrading and refurbishment of much needed animal accomodation. Many of the centre's original kennels are now classed as no longer fit for purpose, which means that we have to restrict the number of abandoned, mistreated and abused dogs and puppies brought in by our Inspectors.
If we are lucky enough to raise more money than the £125,000 extra funds will be put towards plans for new customer friendly reception and shop to further increase sales of the RSPCA own brand pet food and products currently available from the centre and on-line.
We would like to invite people, buisnesses and companies to undertake fund raising events for us throughout the year and specially produced certificates are available on completion.
We would like to hear from people willing to help on our popular open day to run stalls and help generally! the next one is in may! Tombola or Raffle prizes are always desperately required! To donate to the appeal please visit Virgin Money Giving | Fundraising | RSPCA Bradford Animal Save's fundraising page

New Honourary Treasurer Wanted
Our present Hon. treasurer is stepping down from the post at the end of the year and Bradford Branch is looking for a like minded animal lover to replace him, the obvious qualities are a professional Banking or accounting background, the ability to pop into the Branch on an occasional basis and be available for monthly evening committee meetings, (usually the 4th Monday of each month), giving a report as to the Branches financial position, counter signing cheques etc and playing a central role in the Branches future development and success.
The Branch employs a full time accounts person who looks after all the day to day finances along with our General manager, so the need for manually writing of accounts, Paye and book keeping is not required. The Branch runs a computerised system based on Sage.
The present treasurer will be continuing his involvement with the Branch as a trustee so will be on hand to ensure a seamless transition to a new person.
This is a responsible role but we believe a rewarding and exciting one, the Branch has a turn-over approaching £1.million and employs approximately 40 staff, in the animal home,a Veterinary clinic and 6 Charity shop outlets.
Please contact us in Writing, Marked Private and Confidential to; The Chair; Mrs Jan Robertshaw c/o the Bradford Rspca, Clive Precious House, Mount Street, Bradford BD3 9SW.
Or by email to Janrobertshaw@yahoo.co.uk or telephone (01274) 723063 for further details or information.
