George and Kerry

Age: 10 years and 9 years

Breed: Jack Russell and Rottweiler

Sex: Male / Female

Can you offer 2 older dogs a loving home together? George is an 10 year old neutered male Jack Russell and Kerry is an 9 year old Rottweiler bitch.

Kerry has recently received veterinary treatment due to her limping on her back leg - but she is now ok and is no longer on medication. George and Kerry are both sweet lovely natured dogs who were both brought in together and are very close. Both a...re affectionate and love attention. George and Kerry are quite laid back dogs that are not overly boisterous. They do have their giddy moments and like to play with their toys. George and Kerry are both good at walking on the lead and know most of their basic commands. They even give you their paw. Both dogs get on well with other dogs but will need to be rehomed as the only 2 dogs in the household and with no cats. George and Kerry will need to be rehomed to an experienced dog owner. A large garden is essential so that they will be able to roam around and play together. George and Kerry will need a fairly active owner who will take them out walks. They will need a home where they won’t be left for more than 4 – 5 hours a day. George and Kerry will be suitable to live in a household with a family with children over the age of 10, mature family or a couple.

Ella

Age: 2 years

Breed: Staffie

Sex: Female

Ella is a 2 year staffie Bitch

Ella was brought into us by the Rspca Inspectors due to her being abandoned by her previous owner.  She is a sweet friendly dog who always happy to see you.  She is good at being handled and loves being made a fuss of.   Ella does pull quite strongly on the lead and can be vocal around other dogs.  She does know some of her basic commands but more training will be needed.  Ella is a playful dog who likes to play rough and tumble and also with her toys.    She will need to be rehomed to an experience dog owner who has had Staffie type dogs previously.  She will need a garden where she will be able to run around and burn off her energy.  Ella will need a fairly active owner who will be able to take her out for her daily walks to socialise her around other dogs and give her the stimulation and attention that she needs.  She will need a home where she won’t be left alone for more than 4 hours maximum on her own.  She will need to be rehomed to a household where there are no other pets and to a family with children over the age of 10 or mature family or a couple.

Toby

Age: 3

Breed: Jack Russell

Sex: Male

Toby is a 3 year old cross jack Russell who was brought into us by the Rspca Inspectors due to his previous owner no longer able to care for him. He is a very friendly dog who likes to be given attention. Toby knows most of his basic commands and is possibly housetrained. He does have a tendency to pull on the lead so lead training will be needed. Toby gets on well with other dogs and he loves to play with his toys. He will need to be rehomed to an experienced dog owner and to a family with children over the age of 10. Toby seems to get on well with other dogs but will need to live in a household with no cats. He will need a home where he is not left for any longer than 4 hours a day on his own.

Theo

Age: 5

Breed: Cross Mastiff

Sex: Male

Theo is a 5 year old Cross Mastiff who was brought into us by the Rspca Inspectors due to him being abandoned by his previous owner. We do not have much information regarding Theo but he is a very friendly dog who is always pleased to see you and loves to be given lots of attention and made a fuss of. Theo can be a bit timid with any sudden movements. He is possibly housetrained as he is clean in his kennel and he does know a couple of his basic commands so training will be needed. Theo does have a tendency to pull strongly on the lead so lead training will be needed. He gets on well with other dogs and is playful around them but he got very excited and barked when he saw the cats and he is most likely to chase them so he is better to be rehomed where there are no cats in the household. Theo will need to be rehomed to an experienced dog owner, ideally to someone who has owned large breed dogs previously. He will need an active owner who is able to train him and take out for his daily walks and a large size garden is needed so he is able to explore about and burn off his bounds of energy. Theo will need a home where he is not left for any longer than 4 hours a day on his own and will be suitable to live with a mature family or couple
